Coldrex Hotrem – combined drug used for colds. Lowers the temperature, softens sore throat, nasal breathing easier. Apply for the symptomatic treatment of SARS and the flu (headache, pyrexia, chills, swelling of the lining of the nose, nasal congestion, sore throat when swallowing, pain in the sinuses, sore joints and muscles).

  Coldrex Hotrem is an analgesic, antipyretic and decongestant. Paracetamol is included in its composition has analgesic and antipyretic (especially in fever syndrome) action. The content of paracetamol in drug Coldrex Hotrem matches a single dose allowed for OTC use.

 Phenylephrine hydrochloride constricts blood vessels of the mucous membranes of the nose and paranasal sinuses, resulting in reduced swelling and nasal breathing easier. Ascorbic acid compensates for the increasing need for vitamin C in the initial stages of colds and acute viral infections. The active ingredients of the drug Coldrex Hotrem not cause drowsiness do not break concentration.

The contents of the package Coldrex Hotrem pour into a glass and fill it with very hot water. Stir until dissolved, and sweeten with sugar or honey. Inside, adults and children over 12 years – 1 package Coldrex Hotrem, the dose may be repeated after 6-8 hours (but no more than 4 tricks a day). Use of the drug during pregnancy is possible only when the intended benefits to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. Pregnant women can be applied Coldrex Hotrem only on doctor’s advice.                                                            Coldrex Hotrem should not be taken concurrently with other drugs containing acetaminophen. The patient should be informed that if the symptoms persist after 5 days of Coldrex Hotrem, you should stop taking it and consult your doctor. Patients taking the drug Coldrex Hotrem should abstain from alcohol. Do not appoint Coldrex Hotrem in chronic alcoholism.

Anaferon

Anaferon – a homeopathic remedy. It is used in secondary immunodeficiency states of various etiologies, flu and colds (rhinitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, and bronchitis), herpes and cytomegalovirus infections for the prevention of complications of viral infections. The combination of anaferon with antipyretic and anti-inflammatory drugs can reduce the dose and the deadline for the latter.

Indications: flu and colds (rhinitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, bronchitis), herpes, cytomegalovirus (CMV) and other acute and chronic viral infections (prophylaxis and treatment), complications of viral infections (prevention), bacterial infection (in the complex therapy); secondary immunodeficiency states of various etiologies (treatment).

At one time a pill anaferon kept in the mouth until dissolved apart from the meal. Children aged 6 months to 3 years of a single dose (1 tablet anaferon) dissolved in 5-15 ml of water at room temperature and give a drink.

Treatment should begin at the first signs of respiratory disease, as follows: in the first 2 hours to take 1 tablet every 30 minutes (5 receptions), then take on the first day even 3 tablets at regular intervals (only in the first day of the disease take 8 tablets); from the second day and further Anaferon should take 1 tablet 3 times a day until recovery; to reduce the risk of complications is recommended to continue taking anaferon 1 tablet 1 time a day for 14 days. For prophylaxis (SARS, influenza) take 1 tablet 1 time a day for 1-3 months (during the whole epidemiological seasons).

There are (rare) allergic reactions to anaferon. Anaferon incompatibilities with other pharmacological means are not observed.
